Antique Chinese armchair with horseshoe shape in solid elmwood (China, c.1850).
It is estimated that it was built around the middle of the 19th century.
This typical antique chair with armrests stands out for its excellent state of conservation. The restoration of this ancient Chinese chair was basically a general cleaning to bring out the natural color of the wood.
We love the small details carved into the wood, as can be seen in the different detailed photos.
Our antique Chinese armchair comes from an ancient house in the interior of China. Being made of wood, surprisingly it is a very comfortable antique armchair. Its shape and armrests generates a surrounding space while sitting on it.
We like it for its nobility and its golden nuances… inimitable.
