— HISTORIC NOTE —
The blown glass technique is a manufacturing technique that dates back to the 1st century BC.
It is characterized by using the soap bubble method, in which bubbles are created in the raw material of the glass. This is done by literally blowing the molten glass and working it with various metal tools until the desired shape is achieved.
With the use of different minerals and chemical compounds, different colors and characteristics are achieved.
There are currently very few companies using this type of manufacturing due to the cost and difficulty involved.
This large antique demijohn can continue to be used as a demijohn vase to preserve food or as a decorative demijohn vase in any of your favorite spaces.
Our antique demijohns are unique pieces specially selected to be part of timeless spaces and combine perfectly with some of our antique sideboards and cabinets .
