Hand restored antique solid wood red Chinese sideboard (China, c.1900).
This reclaimed and restored lacquered piece of furniture from Shanxi Province has undergone a specific restoration process. We have restored the original front reproductions of Chinese lacquered furniture of the time. Estimated to be 120 years old, the original illustrations on the door fronts of this red Chinese sideboard maintain a high degree of preservation. The piece stands out for its patina in the original red color called vermilion red. Its state of conservation is optimal except for some imperfections due to the passage of time.
This lacquered sideboard is made of solid pine wood. It is also composed of two doors that give access to a large interior space. During the restoration process, small magnets were added to facilitate the closing of the two doors.
