Vintage low rectangular black decorative stool (c.1950).
Aging fifty to one hundred years old, we have managed to put together a small collection of solid wood decorative stools.
Most of these vintage stools are constructed from solid elm wood and some are pine wood stools. Each footstool preserves the original assembly of the time. It has been an enormous job of collecting and selecting to finally compile several examples of vintage low decorative stools with a rectangular shape, all with similar dimensions although there is not a single piece alike.
Each rustic stool has been individually restored based on your needs. Some of them still had traces of earlier paintings. We have found other rectangular stools in perfect condition and it was only necessary to apply a layer of black paint directly, emulating the natural aging of the years. In many cases, each rectangular stool has required a partial stripping process in some areas to first restore the natural wood color and then apply the black paint.
Each decorative wooden stool is unique, with its own imperfections and wounds of time.
