– HISTORIC NOTE –
China has been for many centuries a benchmark in the manufacture of vases and ceramic products. Porcelain vases became famous worldwide, and they were appreciated in high European royal spheres as a symbol of status and power.
Ceramics are known worldwide, although the details of the manufacture and especially the distinction between different qualities of ceramic remain quite unknown to the public. In general, two large groups can be distinguished: low temperature firing ceramics and high temperature firing ceramics. Porcelain is the example of high temperature firing that begins to cook from 1000 degrees. On the other hand, ceramics composed basically of clay are fired from 400 degrees and do not have the hardness that porcelain can have. For this reason, low-temperature ceramics have had a basically ornamental and decoration use.
This decorative vase was made with the desire to attract the good omens of happiness and joy to every home. Our antique vases are unique pieces specially selected to be part of timeless spaces and combine perfectly with some of our antique sideboards and cabinets.
