This small Japanese cabinet dates from the Taishō period (1912–1926), a time when domestic interiors gradually adapted to more flexible everyday living while remaining rooted in tradition. Furniture from this era is defined by its simplicity, functionality and balanced proportions.
Made from paulownia wood (Paulownia spp.), a lightweight and stable material commonly used for everyday furniture in Japan, the piece is organized in a clear and practical way.
