Wooden antique barrel for Tokaji wines (Hungary, c.1950).
This oak wood barrel is estimated to be around 80 years old and it was used for making wine in the Tokaj area of Hungary. This Hungarian region is recognized worldwide for its sweet wines, especially Eszencia wines, also called nectar because of their high concentration of sugars. Our antique barrel is made of solid oak.
It was recovered from Hungary in a perfect state of preservation.
Constructed by hand in an artisanal fashion, it preserves the aromas of the fermentation of the wine.
