Small Japanese filing cabinet made during the early Shōwa period, in the second half of the 20th century. Originally designed for storing documents, drawings or office supplies, this piece reflects the functional post-war Japanese approach to utility furniture.
The cabinet is crafted from kalopanax, a lightweight and stable wood, combined with plywood to ensure durability and practicality. It features flat, deep drawers designed for document organization, fitted with original metal pulls of understated design.
