Antique hand-restored solid wood Asian sideboard (c.1900).
Oriental furniture recovered and restored from Shanxi province following the specific restoration process maintaining the original frontal reproductions. Estimated to be 120 years old, this Asian sideboard maintains a high degree of preservation of the original illustrations on the door fronts. It stands out for its green and gray patina that has been restored by local artisans with intimate knowledge of the specific regional techniques and style.
Its state of conservation is optimal except for some imperfections due to the passage of time. And as you can see in the detail photos, two illustrations of two horses appear on each front of each door. These sketches have been preserved and restored with the utmost respect for the original lines and colors. This lacquered sideboard is made of solid pine wood and is composed of two doors that give access to a large interior space.
