Description

Hand restored antique solid wood dining room sideboard (China, c.1870).

Oriental furniture recovered and restored. The red lacquer is original. Estimated age of about 150 years (construction date: around the year 1870). In this two-door sideboard stands out its designs of borders and floral still lifes that combine perfectly with the red color of the patina. Crafted from solid elm wood, assembled by hand using ancestral carpentry techniques, filigreed with the meticulous borders of the artist pinto… this antique sideboard has a unique character.

It maintains the original illustrations on the front of the doors with a high degree of conservation. The red patina is preserved in its original color. And except for some imperfections and bumps due to the passage of time, its state of conservation is optimal. Coming from the Northeast provinces of China, it is composed of a pair of large gates. During the restoration process, small magnets were added to facilitate the closing of the two doors. You can see more details in our detail photos.
