Antique Chinese side table with original drawer and dovetail assembly (China, c.1900)
This antique side table is estimated to be 120 years old. It was initially built as a table to take tea. Later, with the passage of time, it has been reused for a myriad of different uses: antique coffee table, sofa side table, corner table, decorative table, but it has always maintained its elegance and particular style.
It has been found in perfect condition and only a waxing with beeswax has been applied to the solid wood part to cover the pores of the wood and thus be able to withstand a hundred more years of life.
We love its dark patina of the original painting, as well as its typically oriental shapes and curves.
Each antique table is unique, with its own imperfections and wounds of time.
