Square shape Kang table made in reclaimed solid elm wood.
We have built our coffee table with antique elm wood that is more than one hundred years old. We had the the idea in mind of building a low coffee table that maintains the type of construction used in the past, we built several copies with similar dimensions although there is not a single piece equal. Each piece of reclaimed wood has been restored with various restoration processes.
Some antique wood planks still had previous coats of paint and a stripping process has been applied to bring out the natural color of the elm wood.
Finally, they have only been waxed with beeswax to cover the pores of the solid elm wood and thus be able to withstand a hundred more years of life. It has been a work of months to find and make the best possible selection of antique wood planks in order to built these coffee tables.
We love its golden nuances and its solid framework…inimitable.
