Antique Chinese chest with original floral illustrations from the Imperial Chinese period (China, c.1840).
This oriental chest has been recovered and restored by hand. With a antiquity Estimated to be around 160 years old, this antique trunk is made of solid pine wood. Due to the passage of time of its prolonged use, it exhibits some bumps but in general it presents a good state of conservation.
It is characterized by its illustrations in various colors that have been almost entirely preserved. In these drawings, three mandarins, possibly officers of the Imperial Chinese Army, are seen in dialogue over a war bow.
It should also be added that the metal closure that is believed to be the original lock is still intact.
