This small chest is made of solid pine wood. It is in perfect conditions Let’s highlight its vermilion red patina that has been preserved in excellent condition. It also still keeps intact the metal lock that is believed to be the original lock. Regarding the construction of this wooden chest, we highlight its “dovetail” joinery characteristic of bygone eras. In these times and due to the shortage of products to glue, the construction of furniture was based on the perfect fit of the different pieces of wood. And the dovetail joint was one of the star assemblies in the art of carpentry.
