-HISTORIC NOTE-
The black color in traditional Chinese culture was associated with the color of paradise. It is a surprising fact when compared with the perception of black color in Western culture. The black color was king color and was revered above other colors. For example, there is only black and white in the popularized symbol of Ying and Yang. But much has changed since then, and in modern Chinese society it has ceased to be the star color to make way for the red color of the national flag.
