Antique TV cabinet with original dark patina that can be adapted into a TV cabinet (China, c.1900).
Like all our antique furniture, this solid wood TV cabinet has been restored by hand and enjoys a high degree of conservation. It still retains traces of the original black patina.
It is built with solid pine wood and it is composed with three large drawers. This oriental low TV cabinet is made of solid pine wood and has an estimated age of 120 years, its approximate date of manufacture was in the year 1900. We can observe its original assembly of the drawers built with the technique called “dovetail” which provides a robust assembly.
We love it for its straight lines that give elegance and we especially admire its enveloping character.

The color black in traditional Chinese culture was associated with the color of paradise. Surprising fact when compared to the perception of the color black in Western culture. But much has changed since then, and in modern Chinese society it has ceased to be the star color to give way to the red color of the national flag.
