This small antique Japanese cabinet dates from the Shōwa period, a time when traditional craftsmanship coexisted with subtle modern influences, resulting in furniture that is both practical and visually expressive.

The cabinet is crafted from a combination of Japanese ash, paulownia, and Japanese cedar, offering structural strength alongside lightness and stability. The upper section features two hinged doors decorated with original textile panels, adding warmth, texture and a distinctive decorative character. Below, a series of stacked drawers provides practical storage for small objects.
