– HISTORIC NOTE –
Wooden kneading bowls have been used since the Middle Ages throughout Europe. Flour was and continues to be a staple food on the European continent. On many occasions, once the flour was obtained from wheat, instead of being stored, it was kneaded directly. This was due to the fear of insect pests that could spoil the flour.
We also recommend our antique trunks as a perfect complement to this antique bowl.
