Antique Asian style coffee table (c.1870)
Our coffee table has an estimated age of 150 years. Built with solid elm wood, it preserves the original joinery of the time. We have several pieces with similar dimensions, all different, all unique, one of a kind antique coffee tables…
Each piece has been recovered with various restoration processes. Some antique side tables retained traces of earlier paintings. Most of our wooden tables were found in perfect condition and have only been waxed with beeswax to cover the pores of the solid elm wood and thus be able to withstand another hundred years of life. It has taken months of work to find and make the best possible selection of antique coffee tables.
Each side table is unique, with its own imperfections and wounds of time. In its ancient times, it is supposed to have been used to drink tea together.
