Wood coffee table in solid antique elm wood.
We have built our coffee table with solid ancient elm wood that is more than one hundred years old. With the idea in mind of building a low coffee table using the construction style of the past, we built several pieces with similar dimensions, though no two of them are equal. Each piece of antique wood has been restored using various restoration processes.
Some antique wood planks still had previous coats of paint and a stripping process was applied to bring out the natural color of the elm wood.
Subsequently, they have only been waxed with beeswax to fill the pores of the solid elm wood and thus enable them to withstand a hundred more years of life. It has been many months of work to find and make the best possible selection of antique wood planks in order to build these coffee tables.
Each coffee table is unique, with its own imperfections and irreplicable wounds of time.
