– CURIOSITY –
The Chinese zodiac is based on the lunar calendar and consists of 12-year cycles. Each year a different animal is assigned along with the characteristics of the corresponding animal. The date of change between years/signs with respect to the western calendar is usually between the end of January and February. Unlike the western zodiac, the signs are not associated with any constellation.
Each sign has characteristic attributes and the signs of the pig and the dragon stand out. Having a family member born in the year of the pig is highly regarded as it is believed that it will bring prosperity to the whole family. And it is proven that the birth rate in these years is usually above the national average.
For example, the sign of the pig is associated with virility and fertility.
