We present a compilation of antique wooden stools over a hundred year old. We have entrance benches as well as solid wood stools carefully restored by our local artists.
We have traveled hundreds of miles to find unique pieces, select them and carefully restore them. During the recovery process, a custom restoration is applied for each antique bench.
The process of restoring antique benches is basically divided into two phases. The first phase is the stripping phase where existing varnishes and paints are removed to bring out the original color of the wood. The second phase is beeswax application to hydrate and protect the wood. In some cases we have applied a new coat of paint imitating the patina of the natural aging of solid wood.
Sometimes, during the recovery process of these antique wooden benches, some parts have to be rebuilt that over time have been damaged by daily use.
We always have in mind to preserve the original character of the antique bench. So each wooden bench is restored with care in the traditional way. We usually use the original paintings techniques of the time and of the area. And of course, we keep their imperfections and irregularities that make them unique, that make them more authentic.
If you get closer, you can observe the irregularities of each unique piece. Unique pieces that breathe History, that tell us things from the past, each small bench is a unique being in itself.
