Antique bedside table with gilded details of hand-restored solid elm wood. This reclaimed and restored antique bedroom table from Shanxi Province, China, has followed the traditional restoration process keeping the original front reproductions.
Estimated to be 150 years old, this Asian-style nightstand maintains the original illustrations on the front and sides of the two doors to a high degree of preservation. The restoration process includes restoring the wood and preserving the gold ink details.
Except for some imperfections due to the passage of time, its state of conservation is optimal. Constructed of solid elm wood, it has two doors painted with various original drawings and preserved borders from the 19th century.
