Solid wood hand restored antique white sideboard (China, c.1900).
Asian style furniture recovered and restored from Shanxi province following the specific restoration process maintaining the original frontal reproductions. Estimated to be 120 years old, the original illustrations on the door fronts of this Asian sideboard maintain a high degree of preservation. The restoration process included restoring the cream-white patina. Except for some imperfections due to the passage of time, its state of conservation is optimal. Constructed of solid pine wood, it has two pairs of doors painted with two original images of a lake and possibly Hangzhou temple. During the restoration process, small magnets were added to facilitate the closing of the two doors.
